Thankful or Stressful?

Thesis...

When I was in grade ten, one thesis for one year. In grade eleven, two thesis for one year.

Now...?

ONE THESIS for ONE SEMSTER!

Oh my Gulay thesis killing me!

Funny right?

Because of that it was been really a pain in the ass. But thanks to God my team mates now are not parasites like the others before...

Even though the thesis was made only for a short period of time still I learn something from it...

What I have learned is not all about thesis but also morals that I can use for my life,

"STARVE your DISTRACTIONS, FEED your FOCUS"

It only means that stop doing those things that are not really necessarily to be done. 

Assignments / Requirements...

I do not know if I am a little bit of a grumbler person when I say there are to much assignments that they gave to us this first semester, but its true HAHAHA.

They say Lazy people are mostly creative and does things more faster than the others

and you can say that I'am part of those lazy people

and as lazy person "Copy paste and a little of paraphrasing is all I need"

But if I summarize the first semester regarding with the assignments actually it was fun. 

Having fun with my close friends, teaching each other how to solve math problems, fighting each other on what is the right word we should use on our essay assignments.

Still, thank you for those teachers who gave us assignments (not being sarcastic but being appreciative) because of those assignments its like the teachers gave us how it feel to be on a company with a boss. So this makes me conclude that I should be the boss, the one who would gave assignments to my co-workers.  

These are the 2 main things that come up to my mind when I think about the first semester of grade 12.

Do you know Kerby Rosanes?

Well he is just one of my great Idol. Whenever I see or hear the word doodle there is no one that can go up into my mind and nothing and only but Kerby Rosanes .

I idolize him for being a great artist because all of his doodle are with great detail as you can look with the picture above he have drawn. It was drawn with so mush detail and precision. Because of him I was also inspired to to do doodle and because of doing doodle it always makes me feel really good  and of course it fulfills my childhood dream as an wild life photographer and because of that i draw this...

It was on October 2, 2017 when the intramurals of Notre Dame of Kidapawan College officially started with the theme of "ALTIVOLUS 2017: soaring high for the new beginning"

Having a one week break from straight 5 months of class, thesis, assignments and loaded requirements can really ease the mind of every students making them more feel relaxed and competitive!

Making or having this kind of activity can really make the students improve their talents. Making them not to be afraid to show their talents and to soar high with their gifts and skills that God have given them!

but wait,...

What does "La peinture" mean?

Simple it's just a French word meaning "The painting". It's funny because when I ask something with me classmates what would be my tittle for this blog then they say "make it french" then I was so silly that I follow their suggestion. LOL hahahha.

In the said activity their was a painting competition so... I join... but... not so sure what'll be contribution LOL. but here is the painting we have paint...

First of all my childhood dream is to became a Priest and a Photographer and not as an artist or painter or architect or what so ever. Maybe that was not my or dream at all and maybe  I was just been influenced by my aunts and uncle because some of my uncles are Priest, "Kaabag", Pastor and some of my aunts are nuns both in my mothers and fathers side but lets not go deeper in that part. Lets focus on me becoming a great photographer hahaha, A wild life photographer to be exact. I grew up always watching Nat. Geo, Discovery channel and history channel and all of them feature wild life of animals so as a child it fascinates me so much but later on I came to a point where I see my dream as an unattainable thing so I switch into something. Something that  I can use my talents and be like a wild life photographer and upon thinking of that I came up with an idea to paint this hahah...

Before that here what it looks like...

When I paint this actually it was exam week and I don't know why does I always want to paint when the examination period happens.

But atleast I became not so stress when exam happens. 

Tips eyy?

I know I'm not that so pro artist but let me teach you some of my techniques that you may use when you are painting something

1. Only paint those things that interest you more or has meaning to you so that you would have a motive to continue painting.

2. When painting with coffee do press to much the pencil when sketching because if do that the lead will be on the paper and will be covered up by coffee and that may cause " The PAIN in painting"

So now thanks to nescafe that I feel like I am an photographer now hahahha

Giraffe Laddies

Medium used: markers  and my diary sketch pad.

I have draw this a maybe a year ago because I have read this one article about them saying that these women has the longest neck and that really fascinates me. At that time I really want to make an artwork but I do not have any materials at that moment because at that time I was in M'lang and my art materials are in Bulatukan but I do have my Dairy sketch pad so I borrow my cousins art materials. then hahaha I started my drawing.

I'm not gonna bored you about how things happen with me and my drawing so im just gonna lay some facts about them hahahah


 


So here it is:

1. They are the Kayan women of Myanmar and nicknamed as geraffe women by western countries

2. They say that they are the daughter of a dragon so to remember their mother they put rings to their neck to make it look like a neck of a dragon.

3. They believe that having a long neck is beautiful

4, By the time or at the age of 4 years old they now starting to wear those color gold coils around their necks

5. More coils around their necks the older they are

I know the title for this blog is really long for a title. Actually, the title itself  is part of a verse in a song, titled this town by Niall Horran. But actually the title can be shorten to 1 word  and we call it here as "Torpe".

This type of  art is called scribbling where you just scribble your pen to form something. The Filipino artist that I idolize so much in this field is Bitoy or  Michael V.

But regarding to my drawing this was the first the first part of my drawing  hahahaha,



tips for today:
1.  Try not to be se concious when you are drawing something.  Remember there is no mistakes in art only better :)
2. Be sporty with the paper and with the ballpens, play with them! hahaha

I remember making my first painting. It was an acrylic painting but my paints at that time was limited with blue, orange, pink, green and green. Unluckily it was the primary colors so its kinda hard to mix color to create the color you want but as what me uncle once said to me that If you're an artist you should be resourceful on what the environment may offer to you, and that was 4 secondary color paints that I have hahaha

Actually I was not planning to make this kind of mix media art. Before this was made I really just want it to be single plain portrait (which I mean is just plain pencils will be used).

It was early in the morning which I mean 12 o'clock in the morning when I draw this but and while I am making this I was watching a some kind of movie which I forgot the tittle but the point is because I was watching and drawing at the same time my focus was divided into two so because of that again I was not been able to make it look more good. When the time I wanted to sleep I have finish to draw his eyes, lips, shadow of his neck and a small part of his hat then when i looked at it was not satisfied for what I have been draw.

So days, weeks and even months came but I have not still finish my drawing and until my friend sees the picture and told me "who is this? is this Bruno Mars?" because of that question it motivates me to finish this art because I thought it does not look like Bruno but thanks to my friend about what he told me I now want to continue to draw this art but unluckily I have lost my reference photo and because of that I just experiment with it.

I look at me left side of the bed then i see my watercolors then an idea strikes my head saying " what if  i'll try another style and use that watercolor" so with my idea I immediately start and now...
 This is the outcome.

UNDERCUT?

This drawing was inspired by the most famous haircut in the year of 2016 till now 2017. It was so in in many barbershop that they even print this in a tarpaulin to make as a reference model. Many celebrities have use this or follow this kind of hair trend. That is why I make this kind of drawing.

 Even my idol soccer player David Beckham has use this kind of hair trend so when i see this photo this makes me want to draw this kind of hair style.

And there is a great fact here where most of the students are trying or using this kind of hairstyle but the funny thing is it is rare for normal Filipino person to have this kind of beard or mustache. LOL!

I can give you an advice if you want to follow or make something like my art design. 

"In making hair strand do not draw it per line or per hair strand. it is better that you should first understand the hair direction and its volume"

This kind of hairstyle is really quite fascinating that even old people and professional has use this kind of hairstyle!!! It was on the year 2016 where this hairstyle sprout but until now 2017 this kind of hairstyle is in! Actually this style is in the number two in the 21 best hairstyle in 2017 which was  surveyed by the online website named "Men's Best Hairstyle Trends"

It was so fascinating that I have drawn this kind of hairstyle and make my own creative art about this.
It was so fun that when I was drawing this I do not have a photo reference what I do was I told my father not to move because I would draw his face and I say that it would really be a great drawing if he would participate and luckily he does AHAHA😂😂

The style of drawing was inspired by my i don't know what to call him but i'll just call him team mate.
The idea of this method is you are drawing the face of a person but only the hair and his mustache.

In this project or in this output I have made this because I was inspired of the song of the Bicycle Race which is written by Freddy Mercury and been made life by the all boys band group named Queen. Although the title of the song was bicycle but it was never been about bicycle because it was about Bisexuality but it does not mean that I am a bisexual person hahaha, I was listening about that song when I have draw or paint this and I was only expressing the things I have hear and not what I have understand.

So here are some the fun facts about bycicle. It was i 1817 when a German inventor named Karl von Drais inventeda horseless carrige that would help him to get around faster and theb Bicycle was born. But it was not pedal because it was a automobile that is powered by human strength or by our foot by pushing the feet to the ground. But was only pedaled when their was a machine called "Draisine" was invented and led to the creation of modern day of bicycle.

The second fun fact is the term bicycle is and was not introduced until 1860's and was tossed up by the country France to describe a new kind of two wheeler with a mechanical drive and not the country who invented the bicycle, Germany.

But regarding to my paint it was first time at that time to paint something about what I feel because most of my paintings or drawings are inspired with some thing i just want to draw like a picture or something I see nice ahahah.

So heres my advice to those who want or wanting to became a better artist than you were before.
